The Clearfield Park neighborhood is the only San Carlos neighborhood bordering Highway 101. The highway is to east of the neighborhood. The other three borders include Redwood City to its south (Redwood High School marking the unofficial border), El Camino Real to its west and the town of Belmont to its north.

Clearfield Park is a mixture of residential and commercial/industrial zoning.

While the neighborhood may be seen as the least desirable of San Carlos to some, it boasts the proximity to Laurel Street many of the hillside neighborhoods don’t have a chance to enjoy.
